Multivitamins
In order to guarantee the health of pregnant women and to reduce to a minimum disease and disfiguration of the baby from conception to the end of breastfeeding women should have a balanced diet which can supply all the nutrients required. These nutrients are defined by the national and international dietary standards (LARN and RDA). In particular this need increases during the development of the fetus and more so during breastfeeding.
It is a multivitamin created especially for women during and after pregnancy. (see technical card)
Actimam is a product which contains nutrients which aid the increased requirement of the expectant mother, in a daily dose recommended by the minister of health.
Also in this case we have a suitable product with high tollerability without yeast, sugars, egg and nut traces, colours, glutin and lactose and a last important point the absence of vitamin A.
In fact it has been scientifically proven that even very low doses of vitanim A can result in disfiguration of the fetus if taken during the first trimestre of pregnancy. Even if, at present, on the Italian market all multivitamins contain vitamin A.
The product contains a series of vitamins and minerals in a suitable concentration.
- FOLIC ACID: The requirement increases from 200mcg to 600mcg-die. It is recommended to integrate into the diet 400mcg.die of folic acid starting from at least 4 weeks before conception and for all of the pregnancy until the end of breastfeeding. Folic acid reduces the risk of miscarriage
- VITAMIN B12:
Together with folic acid it reduces defects in the neurale tube and spina bifida by 90%.
- VITAMIN B6: The mother's requirement increases by 46% and therefore this supplement is necessary.
- VITAMIN C: This supplement is very useful as the recommended daily dose increases to 10mg per day.
- POTASSIUM: It has a fundamental role in the formation of muscle tissue particularly the heart muscle. If there is a potassium deficiency it may cause a problem for increased proteica synthesis.
- SELENIUM: This is an oil element indispensable for keeping the body healthy. It is implicated in the composition of glutation perossida, an antioxident enzyme which protects the cell against ossidative stress, contributing to maintaing the integrity of the membrane cell as well as numerous other functions.
- COPPER: It is necessary for growth and development and indispensable for good health.
- ZINC: In association with vitamin B, it prevents the typical nausia of pregnancy without causing drowsiness which is typical in other products. A balanced dose of zinc may prevent a miscarrage and correlated problems in the development of the fetus.
- LYCOPEN: This is a natural substance containing antioxidents, in particular this antioxident activity is accociated with reducing the formation of tumours such as cevical cancer, cancer of the uterus and breast cancer.
- ALGINCO ACID: It is a natural poliuronic acid, with algae extracts which form a physical barrier that can prevent heart burn problems, which is a very common problem in pregnant women.
